Notes: Receiving- very quiet and smooth with actions. Works from outside the ball and then through it with advanced actions. Blocking- quiet and in control of movement, arrives to the ball with good timing and posture. Pop times: 1.90-2.01. Really strong arm, quick transfer, accuracy was wild and inconsistent.

Notes: Athletic build with an uptempo delivery. Primarily a 3/4 slot with shorter arm action. Pitches with good command of game. FB- slight ASR, spins it well and has some carry to it. SL- threw it often and commanded well against hitters on both sides. Approach was to work his FB off his SL. Pitch is very sharp when he throws it right. Expect to see good growth as he matures the next couple of years. CH- throws aggressively with command, needs to make sure they are consistent with FB.

Notes: Needs to add a prep step to allow body to be balanced and a good position to react to the ground balls left and right of the body. Low transfer which creates a long arm action. Bring transfer towards the middle of the body to create a consistent arm slot.

Outfield — Coach Rating Outfielders: WEIDINGER

Notes: Kretsch #47 – He would benefit with a better pre-pitch routine. Ideally, one that would incorporate a right left hop if he is a right-handed thrower; or a left right hop if he is a left-handed thrower. The two-footed hop should be landed with both feet hitting the ground simultaneously and perpendicular to home plate as the ball is being hit. This will enhance his jump by getting his body in motion, making him quicker to the ball, regardless of the direction he must take. He tends to field ground balls erratically. At times, he demonstrates good timing and good mechanics through the ball. At other times, he would benefit with better timing and better mechanics. Ideally, when working through ground balls, the ball should hit the glove simultaneously to the throwing foot hitting the ground. Also, his glove should work directly beneath the shoulder adjacent to the ball of his throwing foot. To gather more quickly for the throw, he must avoid working the glove either too far out to the side, too far to the front, or too deep behind the throwing foot. Additionally, he must work down to the ball by getting better knee bend, and being as erect as possible with the back while still getting the glove to the ground. He needs to be quicker to and through ground balls. Baserunners will take advantage of the superfluous time it takes him to return the ball back to the infield. He runs good routes to ground balls. He minimizes the distance he runs to the ball and he finishes by always squaring up to the ball whenever it is logistically possible. This enhances his time of returning the ball back to the infield.
